On 7 July 2023, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia acceded to the Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (the Nice Agreement) by depositing its instrument of accession with the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization. Thus, the Republic of Peru became the 93rd contracting party to the Nice Agreement.

On 31 July 2023, the National Institute of Industrial Property of Portugal (INPI) joined the IP Register in Blockchain, the innovative initiative of the European Intellectual Property Office, taking the total number of national IP offices to join the Blockchain network to eight.
