China updates Madrid Protocol requirements for collective and certification marks

On 16 January 2025, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) notified the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) of its documentation requirements applicable to collective and certification marks designating China in an international application or in a subsequent designation under the provisions of the Madrid Protocol concerning the International Registration of Marks.

Madrid Protocol fees revised for Israel

In accordance with the provisions of the Common Regulations under the Madrid Agreement and Protocol concerning the International Registration of Marks, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announced on 17 January 2025 the revised individual fees payable when Israel is designated in an international application or in an application for renewal of an international registration or is a subject of a subsequent designation.
